Getting Started with Online Courses and Online Degree Programs through SLN

1. Find an online course, degree or certificate program

Visit the SUNY Learning Network's Online Course Catalog.
You'll find hundreds of courses, as well as Online Degree and Certificate programs, offered at State University of New York Campuses.

Our Online Degrees and Online Course pages show what's available by semester, campus or subject area.

2. Follow the instructions provided by the campus to register for the course:

SLN Online Courses are offered by State University of New York Campuses.
SLN is not a degree-granting institution - but SLN provides access to online learning opportunities statewide at SUNY Institutions. Your degree, or certificate, or any course credit you receive, will be from a New York State SUNY campus, and you must register with that campus to sign up for online courses. The same is true for SLN/SUNY Online Degree Listings.

Simply contact the campus that offers your course, degree or certificate program to find out about registration procedures and requirements. Our Campus Contacts page provides a list of web sites, phone numbers, and addresses for each participating SUNY campus.

    • To register for an online course:
Find the course you want and contact the campus offering the course for more information on registering. Register early - online courses fill up quickly.
    • To pursue a degree or certificate:
First, select from the many online degrees or online certificate programs listed on our Online Degree and Certificate Page. Follow the instructions from the specific campus to apply for the degree or certificate program you are interested in. To pursue a degree or certificate, you must apply to and be accepted by the campus offering the online degree or certificate program.
